On Campus Resources
There are a plethora of helpful resources that are offered to students at Southern Utah University, such as, Financial Wellness counseling, the Career Center services (which helps students with resumes, job searching, job fairs, etc), Academic Advising, Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Services, Veterans’ Resource and Support center, and much more!
Southern Utah University is still considered a small campus, which means that it has a smaller student to teacher ratio (19:1 student to faculty ratio) than big Universities have. With smaller class sizes, students are able to receive more individualized education. Recently, SUU received national recognition as one of the Colleges of Distinction for its engaging and individualized education.
Opportunities for Involvement
There are a plethora of opportunities for students to get involved on campus. Some of the ways that students can get involved is through joining one of the 160+ clubs on campus, volunteering at the SUU Community Engagement Center, running for office in the executive council within the Southern Utah University Student Association, applying to be an event director with the Student Programming Board, getting involved in the Student Involvement and Leadership Marketing Team, and more! Some of the clubs that are at Southern Utah University are the A/V Technician Club, the Agriculture Club, the Army ROTC, Collegiate DECA, the Entrepreneurship Club, the Psychology Club, the Southern Utah University Journal, Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service, and more!
